Clinical Supervision, Graduate Teaching & Professional Trainings
With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Adler provides clinical supervision and teaches graduate-level coursework on the assessment and treatment of substance use. He integrates evidence-based approaches including IFS, CBT, and DBT to mentor the next generation of clinicians.
Additionally, he has presented to a wide range of audiences—including clinicians, educators, physicians, and parents—in schools, clinics, and medical settings, sharing his expertise on addiction and emotional challenges.
"I think the training really gave a framework for how to look at addictions in a way that is client-centered and helped to undo common misconceptions and judgments about the subject. It showed where there are gaps in assessments and how to assess addictions as simply part of the larger framework of who a person is, and not with a specific agenda. This helped me think about addiction in a broader way. This also helped me clarify how to triage when someone is endorsing addictive behaviors."
"The presentation was very engaging and interactive. I will apply screening techniques taught in the training with my clients in session."

Is This for You?
Seeking help is a brave first step. You might find therapy particularly helpful if you recognize yourself in any of these common struggles:
You’ve tried to cut back or stop on your own, but find yourself falling back into old patterns.
You and your partner feel stuck in the same arguments, unable to find the connection you once had.
You feel overwhelmed by guilt or shame, making it hard to move forward.
Anxiety or persistent sadness makes it difficult to engage fully in your work, family, or social life.
You feel your life is increasingly organized around a substance or behavior, and hiding your use has become an exhausting burden.
You are ready to explore your internal world and build new skills for a more resilient future.
You aren't even sure you want to stop
You want to better understand yourself
